Junior WebMethods Developer

If you can hit the ground running using WebMethods to integrate and transfer data (invoices, POs, etc.) across multiple client/vendor platforms, and have worked with, or have the desire to work with the newest SAP technologies, then this is a career opportunity you don't want to miss.

This Fortune 1000 company, conveniently headquartered in Center City (with the easiest access to the Regional Rail system imaginable) is eager to hire an untarnished and ambitious WebMethods Developer, with just enough experience to be productive on day one.

The IDEAL candidate:
The right person will have a solid understanding and work experience with WebMethods, and an appetite for learning new technologies. In order to tackle the project pipeline that is planned for you, you'll need to understand how mappings and translations work, and should have relevant exposure to WebMethods using MS SQL Server technologies, and experience with standards and protocols such as EDI, XML and SOAP. You'll need to be immediately productive with little supervision and be able to take on small challenges that will grow in complexity alongside your confidence and willingness to accept more involved assignments. As important as your WebMethods skills are, (if not MORE important), you must have a strong record of being thorough, and a history of embracing opportunities that require further research and knowledge acquisition.

You will hopefully value a good quality of life inside and outside of work and an employer that prides itself in building trustworthy relationships with its employees and rewards them for their efforts. This is exemplified by a competitive bonus program, and a relatively flexible work schedule allowing you the opportunity to more conveniently start and end your workday, handle sudden unexpected/personal events, and occasionally work from home.

The Job:
You will be working closely with a very experienced team member, with whom you will be handling several projects geared towards enhancing and adjusting the existing infrastructure and creating new "Business To Business" platform integrations. Initially, you will be given tasks that will strengthen your skills in WebMethods, so that eventually, you will not only become a solid pro in this area, but soon be ready to take on the planned implementation of SAP Infrastructure Exchange, under you and your more senior team member's leadership.

The Company:
This is a permanent position with a global Fortune 1000 company in Center City Philadelphia (PA). The large, experienced IT department supports all of the company's systems world-wide and is looking for the right person to meld into a contributing member of its "Development" group.

Required Technical Skills:
- 1 to 3 years experience working with the WebMethods framework, with a very good understanding of mappings and translations (this is not the right opportunity for a "senior" WebMethods developer).
- Very good ability to navigate within this integration platform.
- Prior experience working with MS SQL Server or similar relational databases.
- Having worked with SAP interfaces is a big plus (SAP ALE configuration).
- Having up to 3 years experience working with SAP XI (Exchange Infraestructure) is also a big plus, but not required.

* NOTE: We are also considering Biztalk professionals with up to 3 years of hands-on experience. We believe that the acquired Biztalk background will position you to quickly learn the WebMethods framework and be productive quite quickly, but you would need to be very willing and excited at the prospect of learning a different B2B framework that will eventually lead your career path towards the SAP Netweaver world in the future.

Required Non-technical skills:
- Excellent/strong verbal and written communication skills
- Natural ability to learn quickly, adapt and desire to learn new things
- Proactive, thorough and detailed oriented work-ethic
- Ability to work within timelines efficiently

If you believe this is the right opportunity for you, apply here or submit your resume to: info@TheITStaffingCompany.com.
